Cherry Blossoms over the Stream

Spring is now in full swing and Japanese people love their cherry blossoms. To be honest, it's kind of crazy that they love these small blossoms so much that the weather forecasts gives daily reports on them :)

Above is a picture I took the day before yesterday. However, half the flowers will be gone over the weekend and by the middle of the next week most of them bone, too. It's really dramatic when those small petals fall and dance with the wind. You have to actually see it to understand why Japanese loves cherry blossoms so much.

  3. I would like to vist Japan for so many reasons and cherry blossoms is one of them, beautiful picture. I think I understand what you say, the same happens to me with the "araguaney tree" when the flowers fall and you see a bright yellow carpet under the trees.

  5. I'd love to go to Japan and adore the trees as they do but luckily we have them in D.C. where many can still adore that lovely tree.

  6. Beautiful blossoms. Lovely artistic cushions. I have never seen these and think they are so sweet. I will have to investigate to see how they are made. Is there info on-line? Looks like you do very net work.

    Have a wonderful week.
